Northeast Pennsylvania Fish Report – February 13th, 2015

Lake Wallenpaupack (Pike County) — Ice anglers were catching northern pike, chain pickerel, and perch through the end of January.

Tobyhanna Lake (Monroe, Wayne counties) — Perch and bass were being iced through late January, but few big sizes were reported.

Prompton Dam (Wayne County) — Ice anglers were hammering the crappies and catching nice keeper bluegills through the end of January. 

Beltzville Lake (Carbon County) — A few bass, chain pickerel, and panfish were reportedly iced in the Preachers Camp access area but the bites were overall slow. 

Pohopoco Creek (Carbon County)  — A few anglers were fishing downstream of the outlet of Beltzville Lake in mid-January and catching trout. 

Mauch Chunk Lake (Carbon County) — Ice anglers were reporting perch up to 13 and 14 inches, chain pickerel up to 23 inches, and many sub-legal bass. The panfish bite was slow, with some success coming on live minnows, butterworms, and waxworms.   

Lackawanna Lake (Lackawanna County) — Ice anglers made nice catches of panfish in the ‘swimming pool’ area.
