Catskills Fishing Report – April 18th, 2014

Conditions were slowly improving, although the Beaverkill and Willowemoc remained high as of late last week. The West Branch of the Delaware was also high and float fishing was a better option than wading. A few black stoneflies and Blue Quills were emerging. The Main Stem of the Delaware was high for wading but was floatable. The East Branch of the Delaware was wadeable and clear. Nymphs have been more effective than dries. The Neversink was wadeable and clear at last look. The Esopus was high and not wadeable and had some color.  The tribs were a good bet; you might find some success with spawning rainbows.
