LAKE MINNETONKA AREA
Work the 15- to 20-foot weedlines on Lake Minnetonka for bass, sunfish, crappies, and northern pike. A few walleyes can be had with crawlers in 30 feet or more on Minnetonka. Sunfish also are coming from six to 12 feet on Lake Sarah and in 10 feet on Medicine Lake.

Walleyes are hitting leeches on the 15-foot weedlines of Jarvis Lake. Jarvis is producing a few tiger muskies as well. On the St. Croix River, anglers are hooking an occasional muskie on topwater baits and small walleyes on leeches and the Mississippi River is producing catfish.

Anglers fishing from the dock at Steiger Lake are catching bass and northern pike. Spinnerbaits thrown in the shallow weeds of lakes Bavaria, Auburn, and Whaletail are turning bass. You’ll find crappies and sunfish in 16 feet on Lake Parley, while spoon plugs or crankbaits are producing pike on the weedlines of Hydes Lake and Pierson Lake.

Walleye and muskie action has been slow, but you’ll catch crappies on the east and west side of the island in 10 to 14 feet of water. Work the docks and established weedlines in Waconia Bay and Wagener’s Bay for sunfish. The bigger bass are being pulled off the reefs with plastics or spinnerbaits.

Walleyes are hitting spinners and crawlers in 11 to 15 feet or 20 to 25 feet at Clearwater Lake and in 10 to 15 feet at Cedar Lake. Spoon plugs and crankbaits are producing pike in 20 to 30 feet on Pleasant Lake, while bass are relating to the inside and outside weed edges on Cedar, Clearwater, Pleasant, Lake Sylvia, and Sugar Lake. Hit 10- to 15-foot weedlines at Clearwater and Sylvia for panfish.
