Finger Lakes/Southern Tier Fishing Report – May 3rd, 2013

Among the trout waters stocked of late are:
Chemung County: Eldridge Lake, Park Station Pond, Cayuta Creek, Post Creek, Sing Sing Creek, Wyncoop Creek and Newtown Creek.
Schuyler County: Cayuta Creek.
Steuben County: Post Creek, Cohocton River, Meads Creek, Bennett Creek, Canaseraga Creek, Canisteo River.

Canandaigua Lake

Fishing spoons or flashers and flies down 90 to 100 feet has been working for lake trout.

Cayuga Lake

Anglers trolling stickbaits or spoons near the surface are catching brown trout.

Seneca Lake

Anglers fishing off the pier were catching yellow perch, bluegills and a few black crappies.

Keuka Lake

Anglers vertical jigging with plastics in 110 to 160 feet were picking up lakers.

Owasco Lake

Some bullheads were being taken on the south end.
Skaneateles Anglers getting out in boats were catching some yellow perch on the north end.

Susquehanna, Chenango, Tioughnioga and Unadilla rivers

Rivers were running high and muddy heading into the walleye opener May 4.

Whitney Point Reservoir

Some anglers were starting to get bullheads.
