DULUTH AREA Deep snow and slush continues to limit ice fishermen, although the shorelines are intact. A few guys are finding suspended crappies at Island Lake over 18 to 20 feet of water, while Grand Lake and Caribou Lake are producing crappies in 13 to 15 feet. LAKE MILLE LACS Fishing pressure has been minimal, but the ice is favorable for ATV travel. Traffic on the west side has been limited, though a few anglers are hitting the deep basin areas for tullibees and the mid-depth rocks for perch on the east side. RED WING AREA The bite on the Mississippi River was a bit slower this week, but there has been better numbers of bigger walleyes caught.
