Southeast Minnesota Fishing Report – April 12th, 2013

The bite on the Mississippi River was a bit slower this week, but there has been better numbers of bigger walleyes caught. Anglers fishing below the dam are catching a combination of saugers and walleyes on vertically-presented jigs or blade baits in 18 to 20 feet. The wing dams also are holding walleyes, most of which are being taken on three-way rigs or jigs. As of Tuesday morning, Lake Pepin still had some ice on it.
