Southeast Ohio Fishing Report – December 7th, 2012
Dillon Lake (Muskingum County)
Anglers were fishing below the spillway and picking up a good number of saugeyes as a result. Some hybrid stripers are also being caught both below the spillway and in the main lake, said Bob Mathie of Bob’s Outdoor Supply.

Salt Fork Lake (Guernsey County)
With deer season winding down, saugeye fishermen are starting to hit the lake on a daily basis, reports Salt Fork Outdoors in Cambridge. The shad have finally balled up near the dam. Several reports of anglers catching saugeyes in the 20- to 22- inch range are coming in. Cabin Bay is still one of the better spots as it will hold a baitfish population most of the winter. Minnows, Lil’ Nitro’s, Vib-Es are the baits that are being used.
