Southeast Minnesota Fishing Report – November 2nd, 2012

Crankbaits are producing northern pike at Shields Lake in six to 12 feet, but there hasn’t been any fishing activity on other lakes. Waterfowl hunters are shooting more geese than ducks, archery hunters seem to be shooting more deer this week, and pheasant reports continue to be poor.

Walleyes and sauger are being caught with jigs and minnows below the dam on the Mississippi River in 15 to 20 feet. Duck hunters have done best on the Wisconsin side of the river shooting a mixed bag of divers and puddle ducks. Deer registrations have increased this week with several nice bucks being shot.
