ALEXANDRIA AREA

A jig and minnow is producing walleyes in 18 to 20 feet or 30 to 60 feet on Lake Ida and Lake Miltona. Walleyes also can be had with minnows in 18 to 30 feet throughout the Le Homme Dieu Chain. Muskie action has been consistent with big sucker minnows on Miltona, Lobster Lake, and Oscar Lake. Duck and goose numbers remain strong with some divers showing up in bags, while pheasant hunters continue to struggle.

BATTLE LAKE

Crappies and sunfish are in 10 to 17 feet at Ellingson Lake, East Battle Lake, and Mollie Stark Lake. A jig and minnow is producing walleyes in six to 12 feet or 50 to 60 feet at Otter Tail Lake and in 15 to 20 feet at Rush Lake. Work the weedlines with minnows at Otter Tail, Fiske Lake, and Donald Lake for pike. Drifting big sucker minnows over 20 feet on West Battle Lake continues to produce muskies. Waterfowl hunters are shooting more ringnecks, redheads, and green-winged teal. Goose numbers have increased as well.

PARK RAPIDS AREA

Look for walleyes to hit rainbow minnows on Fish Hook Lake in 18 feet. Large sucker minnows are producing muskies and bigger pike in less than 10 feet on Big Mantrap Lake. Waterfowl hunters are finding a lot of geese, a few puddle ducks, and better numbers of divers this week. Grouse reports have varied.
