Adirondacks Fishing Report – September 21st, 2012

Fishing pressure has dropped off a bit on Lake Champlain with hunting season (archery deer, early bear) on the horizon. But serious anglers are still targeting bass, lakers and landlocks. Schroon Lake continues to offer some superb salmon fishing, as the lake seems to have done all year. The West Branch of the Ausable River got some much-needed rain earlier this month, setting the stage for some great fall fishing. Streamer action has been good, and Isonychias continue to deliver as well. It’s a great time to be on the river. The Raquette River is a fine option if you’re looking for bass action.
