NORTHEAST METRO Lindy rigs and leeches are producing walleyes in the Hudson area of the St. Croix River. Bass fishing has been strong with plastics during the day and topwater baits during low-light periods on the weedlines of Demonterville Lake. Pike are hitting sucker minnows at Beaver Lake, Tanners Lake, and Silver Lake. Sunfish reports

ALEXANDRIA AREA During the day leeches and crawlers are producing walleyes in 12 to 15 feet as are crankbaits in shallow water at night on Lake Miltona. FAIRMONT AREA Shaded areas like overhanging trees and docks are holding bluegills on lakes Hall, Budd, and Sissiton. Look for crappies around the aerators at Budd or on the deep rock piles of Hall.
