Southeast Minnesota Fishing Report – June 15th, 2012


Crankbaits or spoons are producing northern pike on the east side of Fountain Lake. Fountain also is kicking out bluegills via leeches in four feet near Park Avenue and walleyes during the evening hours near the channel bridge on Rapalas. On Albert Lea Lake, Rapalas are turning walleyes near the channel during low-light periods.

Look for sunfish in 10 to 12 feet and bass around the docks and weedlines at Cedar Lake. You’ll find sunfish and northern pike in the weeds of Hunt Lake and leeches are producing walleyes in the 10- to 12-foot weeds of Shields Lake. There’s an evening bite for walleyes and perch for shore anglers at Cannon Lake off County Road 12.
