Indian River

Bass fishing has been fair on Burt Lake. A few walleyes have been caught on Burt Lake, too, and the muskie bite is heating up on Mullett.

Traverse City Area

The walleye bite has been good on Long Lake, but lots of undersized fish have been caught. The best action has come at dusk for those trolling in 8 to 10 feet of water with crankbaits. Lake trout have been hitting cranks long-lined in 10 to 40 feet of water in East and West Grand Traverse Bays. Fair numbers of smallmouth bass have been caught in the shallows of Elk and Skegemog.WildFishing Guide Service www.wildfishing.com

Cadillac Area

Bluegills are in the shallows on Lake Mitchell and Lake Cadillac, and anglers are dialing in. A few pike and walleyes have been caught, too. Bass fishing has been good.
