Thousand Islands Fishing Report – June 1, 2012

St. Lawrence River

Bullhead were being caught in Eel Bay, but it’s been northern pike offering the most consistent and widespread action. The big news was a huge (64-inch) muskie caught and released by a bass angler; look for a story in the June 15 edition of NYON.

Black Lake

Water temps have climbed, which likely put crappie and bluegill in full spawning mode. Northern pike action has been consistent, and a few walleye were being taken, as well.
