Turkey Hunting 201 in Limon, Colorado April 28, 2012


LIMON, Colo. – Colorado Parks and Wildlife is offering a chance for beginning turkey hunters to expand their skills and learn even more about the sport. A FREE "Turkey Hunting 201" course will be offered in Limon on Saturday, April 28 from 1 p.m. until sunset.


In order to participate, hunters must have completed hunter education and have previously taken one of the "Turkey Hunting 101" classes. This course will expand on the skills taught in Turkey Hunting 101. This is a field course and will include information on scouting and hunting techniques. Hunters will need to bring their own shotgun but targets and other basic turkey hunting equipment will be provided. The class will not actually be hunting turkeys but participants will be target shooting and patterning shotguns with instructor guidance.

The class is limited to 10 participants so advanced registration is required. To register for the class, contact the Colorado Parks and Wildlife office in Colorado Springs at 719-227-5200.
