SD: Governor Lifts No Wake Zones on Mina and Richmond Lakes

PIERRE, S.D. – The No Wake Zones that were enacted June 24th,
2011 due to flooding conditions on Mina Lake in Edmunds County and
Richmond Lake in Brown County have been rescinded by the Governor,
effective at 1 p.m. July 1st, 2011.

Even though these No Wake Zones have been lifted, Game, Fish and
Parks Department officials are asking people boating to remain
cautious as high water levels and floating debris may persist on
these and many other lakes across the state.
