SD: Adams Homestead Offers Numerous Summer Programs

NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. – Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve in
extreme southeastern South Dakota offers a variety of summer
programs for kids.

“Missouri River flooding has closed our River Loop trail,” said
park naturalist Jody Moats. “The rest of our facilities are open;
however, hikers should use caution on Cottonwood Crossing where
trail repairs have been made.” The National Guard is also
patrolling levees in this area.

Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve host a variety of programs
throughout the summer from Little Naturalist programs for 2- to
4-year-olds to craft days and nature hikes. “We invite everyone out
for a hike or to try one of our programs,” said Moats.

The programs are offered free of charge. A complete list of
