National Wild Turkey Federation honors Aitkin-area CO

The Minnesota chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation has
named Conservation Officer Bob Mlynar as its Minnesota Law
Enforcement Officer of the Year. Mlynar is a 14-year employee of
the Minnesota DNR and currently stationed in Aitkin.

“CO Mlynar has been a valuable asset to the state of Minnesota
and a role model for others to follow,” said Tom Glines, NWTF
regional field supervisor. “The NWTF in Minnesota is proud to have
him selected as its 2010 Conservation Officer of the Year.”

Glines also thanked Mlynar for his 16-years of volunteer service
to the Minnesota chapter of the NWTF.

The award was presented by retired conservation officer and
Minnesota NWTF State Board Member Dan Book and former conservation
officer and Minnesota State Rep. Tony Cornish during the
organization’s annual awards banquet Jan. 16 in Mankato.

By earning the Minnesota Officer of the Year award, Mlynar and
other state winners are eligible for the NWTF’s National Law

during the NWTF’s awards banquet on Saturday, Feb. 20, in
