Minnesota Waterfowl Association awards banquet is Feb. 6

The Minnesota Waterfowl Association has a busy Saturday planned
with its annual Waterfowl Symposium followed by an awards banquet
tomorrow night, Feb. 6, at the Ramada Mall of America motel in
Bloomington.

Among the award winners will be Outdoor News’ own Joe
Albert, who will be getting the group’s Media Award.

The banquet will also mark the kick-off of the new Minnesota
Waterfowl Hall of Fame. Eleven state waterfowling legends will be
inducted, including past Outdoor News Man of the Year
Harvey Nelson. Other inductees are: Tom Tubbs, Dick Lindell, Ray
Hangge, Bob Head, Don Helmeke, Art Hawkins, Les Kouba, Jimmy
Robinson, J. Ford Bell, and Paul Englund.

Social hour for the banquet begins at 5:30, with dinner at 6:30
followed by the awards program.
