License fee bill passed by House

Harrisburg – By a vote of 156 to 36 – along straight party lines
– the state House of Representatives finally approved a
surprisingly controversial bill to allow the Pennsylvania Game
Commission to pass along 70-cent transaction fees to hunting
license buyers.

If House Bill 92 gets through the Senate and is signed by the
governor – no sure bet at this point – the measure will result in
hunting licenses costing up to several dollars more.
