Little Juniata River (Blair County) – Low flow was reported Jan.
31, and anglers were fishing streamers and nymphs in the braided
water at the head of the pools. Medium-sized streamers, such as
size 8 to 4 Slump Busters, dead-drifted or fished slowly were
recommended, as were Sucker Spawn, Glo-Bugs, and Pheasant Tail and
Hare’s Ear nymphs.

Penns Creek (Union County) – Low flow was reported Jan. 31, and
anglers were fishing small to medium streamers and stonefly
imitations through slower pools and braided water. Generic nymphs,
such as Hare’s Ears and Green Weenies, were a good bet. So was
slowly stripping streamers.
