Indian River

Walleye fishing has been decent on Burt and Mullet lakes, but
pressure has been light. Those fishing in the shallows report the
best success.

Traverse City Area

Fishing has been hot around Traverse City. Walleye fishing has
been on fire in the shallows on South Lake Leelanau. Smallies are
moving into the shallows on Skegemog Lake and Duck Lake, and
bluegills are bedding near shore on Spider and Arbutus lakes. Trout
fishing has been good. Brookies and browns are hitting spinners and
worms fished in the Boardman and Big Manistee rivers.

Kalkaska Area

Crappie and bluegill fishing has been fair on Manistee Lake.
Bluegills are keeping anglers busy on Green Lake, where they are
starting to move into the shallows. Bass fishing has been slow on
Skegemog Lake. River fishing also has been slow with light angler
pressure.

Cadillac Area

Fishing has been good on lakes Cadillac and Mitchell. Crappie
fishing has been very good on Lake Cadillac. Minnows fished in 10
to 11 feet of water have produced good results. Bass and pike are
hitting on both lakes.
