Little Pine Lake (Lycoming County) – Conditions have varied with
limited ice fishing activity.
Little Pine Creek, Pine Creek (Lycoming County) – Accessibility
has varied with conditions, although single-digit air temperatures
have kept anglers away.
Lake Beechwood (Tioga County) – Some ice fishing continued into
early March, with anglers targeting recently stocked trout, and
crappies and perch.
Hills Creek Lake (Tioga County) – Bluegills, including some
hand-sized fish, and average-sized pickerel and largemouth bass
were being iced in late February and early March.
Spring Creek (Centre County) – Snowmelt and anticipated rainfall
were expected to make this limestone water challenging or
unfishable in early March. Through February, fishing has been
sporadic as conditions have allowed. Blue-winged olive hatches also
have been sporadic, and sparse. Not much on the midge front,
