On average, you’ll find seven to nine inches of ice, but ice
depths really vary. ATVs have started being used for travel and
some permanent houses have been set. Waconia Bay offers the best
ice and the best fishing. A mixed bag of walleyes, pike, and
sunfish has been caught in seven to 13 feet throughout the bay.
Other areas have just started seeing some activity so reports have
been limited.
