NORTHEAST METRO
There’s a steady sunfish bite taking place on Beaver Lake, Lake
Peltier, and South Center Lake in 10 to 12 feet of water throughout
the day, but the bigger fish have bit better early and late on
waxworms. Minnows continue to be the best option for crappies in 15
to 20 feet of water during the evening hours. Bald Eagle Lake and
Big Marine Lake are providing the most consistent crappie
action.

There hasn’t been many ice anglers out in recent days, which has
meant limited reports. Lake Parley might be the best bet for
crappies, after dark, in 14 feet of water. Look to Red Rock Lake
for sunfish in 10 to 14 feet of water with green jigs and waxworms.
Lake Minnewashta is giving up numbers of small sunfish in 12 to 18
feet of water during midday hours as well.
