The Prescott and Afton areas of the St. Croix River started
giving up quite a few walleyes in 12 to 20 feet of water. On the
Mississippi River, crankbaits are producing walleyes near the wing
dams. White Bear Lake continues to produce sunfish and crappies in
shallow water. Many of these fish are being caught by anglers
fishing off shore.

The number of anglers has been minimal this week, so there isn’t
anything to report. You might want to hit the reefs on Lake Waconia
for walleyes and crappies if the warm weather persists. Deer
hunting has gone well with several nice bucks being registered, and
pheasant hunters seem to be taking some birds as well.
