St. Paul Pheasants Forever has announced the sale of Hoff’s Slough to the Minnesota DNR; PF purchased the 480-acre Swift County parcel from the Minnesota Waterfowl Association to ensure that the land may be used for public hunting.

The DNR’s purchase of the land means Hoff’s Slough will become
part of the Danvers Wildlife Management Area likely by this fall.
The combined area will contain nearly 3,000 acres of permanently
protected wildlife habitat open to the public.

Hoff’s Slough features a major restored wetland and is key to
the area’s overall wetland management, according to PF.
