Alexandria, Minn. A pair of Minnesota anglers claimed the $10,000 check and matching gold rings by winning the second North American Ice Fishing Championship, held Dec. 21 on Lake Ida near Alexandria.

Joe Honer, of St. Cloud, and Ray Legatt, of Rice, located some good-sized crappies to go along with some of the lake’s abundant sunfish. Their 14 fish weighed 6.58 pounds.
