Stearns County PF, with the support of the Minnesota DNR and the
Stearns County Soil and Water Conservation District, applied for
the grant in August.

Stearns County’s grant proposal was one of 11 environmental
partnerships funded by Xcel this year, totaling about $125,000,
according to Jim Rhodes, Xcel Energy contributions specialist. The
grant was open to applicants across 11 Western and Midwestern
states.
