Walker, Minn. The Kabekona Narrows water access on the west side of Leech Lake, about four miles north of Walker, will be temporarily closed for rehabilitation and expansion, according to the Minnesota DNR.

Work will begin shortly after Labor Day and should be complete by the end of October, said Tony Walzer, DNR acquisition and development specialist in Bemidji.
