St. Paul The new DNR Enforcement Division chief was sworn in on Monday, as Col. Mike Hamm took the oath of office at the State Capitol. Hamm has been a conservation officer for 26 years, and has been with the DNR since 1972 when he began as a parks worke

Hamm was selected after a nationwide search. DNR Commissioner
Gene Merriam said Hamm was selected because of his knowledge of DNR
Enforcement operations and because he understands the importance of
maintaining strong connections with the Minnesota outdoor
community. He also brings a wealth of experience to the position,
Merriam said.
