Madison The deadline for applying for 2003 spring turkey permits arrives on Friday, Dec. 10. All turkey hunters must have their applications postmarked by that date. There will be plenty of tags available. The DNR has increased the number of permits available for 2003 to 166,467. That’s up from the 159,500 permits issued last spring.
