Des Moines, Iowa Iowa hunting and fishing licenses for 2002 are on sale at more than 900 license agents throughout the state. Licenses purchased for 2001 expire Jan. 10, 2002.

New this year is a $3.50 fish habitat fee required for resident anglers age 16 to 65, as well as all nonresidents. For hunting, the habitat fee and state migratory game bird fee each increased from $6 to $8.50. Various nonresident fees also increased. Big Lake, Minn. A Big Lake man was killed while snowmobiling alone on the street near his home, Sherburne County authorities said. Emergency crews found David Rudeen, 30, dead at the scene. County Chief Deputy Scott Gudmundson said the cause of the accid

Authorities also last week identified the 11-year-old victim of a snowmobile accident near Milaca as Duwayne Wittstruck. The boy was killed after he drove a snowmobile into a cable strung between two posts near his home.

St. Paul The 32nd Annual Minnesota Sportsmen’s Boat, Camping and Vacation Show is at St. Paul’s RiverCentre Jan. 9-13.

The show features a bit of everything for the outdoorsman, including seminars and product exhibitors. New this year is the Kids Activity Center. Plus, there’s Kids Fishing School on Saturday and Sunday with Ron Schara. Show hours are noon to 10 p.m., Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m.
