Pierre, S.D. A new hook and line record in the carp category has been set in South Dakota.

While fishing Waubay Lake on April 20, Aberdeen angler David Koslowski hooked into a 38-inch carp that weighed 37 pounds. The fish was certified by South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks biologist Brian Blackwell.
