Adirondacks Fishing Report - March 8th, 2013
Anglers were still plying the waters of Lake Champlain, primarily for perch but also for northern pike in some areas of the big lake and the occasional walleye in South Bay. Smelt action in Bulwagga Bay has been virtually nonexistent, with the general theory being the alewife population is at fault.
Schroon Lake was yielding some lakers and landlocks heading into the annual derby last weekend.
Elsewhere, most of the talk of late has been about conditions and not the quality of the fishing. The ice is holding up well, however, and unless we get a blast of heavy snow there still may be a few weeks of fishing on some waters. Keep in mind that shanties need to be pulled from the ice by March 15.Edit Module
