As a rule, fishing activity is happening in 28-32 feet of water.
Anglers are using the one-two punch of jigging in one hole and deadsticking the second hole.
Most fishing activity is happening in 24-30 feet of water, where anglers are reporting steady action.
This year has brought a notable number of big eelpout being caught.
Ice fishing is in full swing on Lake of the Woods. Fishing reports have been very good. Good numbers of walleyes and saugers being caught with some nice jumbo perch, eelpout and pike as well.

Some spearing and angling for pike has started in areas of back bays.
No surprise this time of year, vertical jigging with frozen emerald shiners catching most of the walleyes, saugers and jumbo perch.
Jumbo perch are coming in good numbers this fall which will serve ice anglers well.
