In the lower Niagara River, warmer water temperatures have triggered seasonal movements.

Reportedly some very good days on Lake Ontario recently, fishing deeper waters on the Niagara Bar and trolling with spoons to target king salmon.

River action has been good the past week.

Report indicates good success in the lake pulling a mix of stick baits and spoons.

Brown trout fishing out of Wilson and Olcott has been going gangbusters.

Brown trout are the talk across the area.

Lake trout, brown trout, and walleye reportedly were all available here on shiners fished off 3-way rigs using a 1-ounce pencil lead.

The weather is starting to wake up and so are the fish.

Lower Niagara River fishing was good to very good this week with all the drifts producing fish on a variety of baits.
