Walleye bite starting to pick up a little bit. But if you’re targeting crappies these days, here’s how it’s done.

You’ll get some bonus bluegills from time to time on this rig, but at this time of summer, walleyes need some vibration and noise to trigger them to bite.
If there’s a seemingly magical time when a muskie may be most likely to bite, it’s the hour or so when darkness overtakes daylight.

Muskie activity seems to keep getting better and the fish being seen and caught this week have been bigger.

You might find them on the rocks in 3 to 4 feet of water in mid-August when the water gets most mucked up. A spinner and chub is best.

Muskie anglers are catching nice numbers of fish here with some good-quality fish over 50 inches in the mix casting shoreline structure.

Walleye fishing is getting a little tough, but how about the rock bass bite!
