Bluegill and bass reports continue to be very good and the majority of larger fish are being found on deep weedlines or deep weed flats.
Some swings in weather this week, so everything is finally back on track. Fish are schooling up again.
While some bigger walleyes are being caught on deep, main-lake structure in some areas, weedy spots seem to be holding better numbers of fish.
Summer fishing is in full swing, and the fish are biting. Here’s what’s happening at metro area lakes.

It’s been a strange week of walleye fishing with many reports indicating that there’s been quite a few fish being caught in shallower water.
Summer patterns continue, and we had some fun catching fish with some new tactics … got some big bites while changing approaches.
It certainly feels like we’re already at that point of the summer where you take what a given lake is willing to give up.
The warm weather showed back up, but the summer patterns remain the same. We’re finding fish schooled-up more and more. Put the miles on this past week and found some more consistencies across the area.
