The coho bite nearshore on Lake Michigan has picked up strongly, with anglers getting quick limits mid-week

The bite in this area is just starting to resume after being disrupted by waves/wind/rain over the past 10 days or so.

DNR biologists doing some survey work in this spot turned up some nice walleye, northern pike up to 38 inches, several 10-plus-pound channel catfish, crappies up to 15 inches, along with quality largemouth bass and bluegills.
