With walleye fishing remaining strong … a few pointers for those heading onto the water.

The walleye bite has remained consistent on Devils Lake despite the recent heat. Here’s a breakdown of areas to target when it comes to the dog days of summer.

Walleyes are being caught on spinners, lead core and bobbers.

The walleye bite is getting good. And an on-the-water report after a night of pulling spinners.

Anglers are finding success in 5 to 15 feet of water with slip bobbers and leeches. Expect the trolling bite to steadily pick up as the water temps keep rising and the fish slide out
