MCAC has teamed up with the USA High School Clay Target League to offer a new sanctioned varsity sport – clay target shooting – to begin this fall.
The event, scheduled July 12-15 in Mason, Mich., will feature a trap-shooting competition for the highest-qualifying student athletes and teams throughout all affiliated state high school clay target leagues in the nation.
In 2017, more than 3,700 shooters compete in high school, college clay targets in Iowa.
Tournament was the culmination of a Minnesota State High School League clay target season that saw 11,300 individuals and 345 teams participate.
