There’s some seasonal action, mainly during the open-water season for panfish, bass, and walleyes, but virtually no winter pressure because its depth and wind-swept nature rarely allow good ice to form.

Attention is still being given to hybrid striped bass in Lake Glenn Shoals, but largemouth bass aren’t conceding the spotlight yet.

Netting results: High catch rates were observed of white crappies, channel catfish, common carp and bluegills, too.

This 927-acre lake near Elysian is rich with submerged and emergent vegetation, which provides valuable fish habitat and plenty of cover to fish through.
