The fishing season continues to progress nicely and summer-like patterns are definitely developing, with a solid bass bite.
We’re starting to see the spring-to-summer patterns transition. Water temps are progressing where they should be and the walleye, bass, panfish — you name it — are following along their patterns nicely.
The continuation of a more stable weather pattern has definitely helped in turning on the bite on area lakes.
Lot of wind and rain of late, but the fish are biting.
We are transitioning into spinner time here very soon and the walleye bite will only continue to improve as we see water temps keep climbing and these fish getting more active.
What anglers are catching and where they’re catching ’em – there’s definitely fish to be had, especially on the Great Lakes.
When conditions permit on Lake Erie, walleye fishing has been very good. Inland fishing for muskies and saugeyes is going well.
Hall of Fame angler “Tackle” Terry Tuma suggests using a 1/32nd- to 1/16th-once jig head with fluorocarbon line and a plastic lure from 2-½ to 2-¾ inches. It’s good for finesse fishing under tough-bite conditions.
