Ice anglers continue picking away at nice fish across the south shore.

Snow has hit the area pretty good and the ice probably won’t like it.

While most ice fishing activity is on the main lake, the Rainy River continues to reward anglers who target it strategically.

Good ice remains north, but not so much to the south. Here’s a look at the Minnesota fishing report on March 11, 2026.

What a change a week brings – like a complete 180 from just days ago. Most of it has to do with weather and ice (access/shoreline) conditions, but the fishing is really good.
