Crab Orchard Lake: Crappie action continues to be good. Minnows and jigs in 6-8 feet of water around the brush should produce a nice mess of fish. Around the rocks and bridges about 10 feet
Chain: Walleyes are good in current areas such as bottlenecks of the bridges, most being caught on fatheads or nightcrawlers. White bass good at Marie and Bluff on small spinners. Muskies are consistent on bucktails
Spring Lake: Catfish are biting on bluegills and shad. Bass being caught on spinnerbaits. Crappies biting on minnows and jigs at the south end bays. Lake Bloomington: Catfish biting good on dipbaits, doughs and crawlers.
Illinois River: The walleye and sauger bite has slowed down. Pulling three-way rigs allows you to cover a variety of water and will help key in on their locations. Work the flats created on the
BEAVER DAM / FOX LAKE AREA Waterfowl have been spotted in good numbers. Crappie action has picked up, with many being caught by anglers drifting in the 12- to 14-foot range. A few nice bluegills
