Fishing Reports

Pymatuning Reservoir (Crawford County) — Crappies were moving into the bays by April 18 and hitting minnows. A few perch were reported. The walleye bite – normally strong in spring – was hit or miss.

Keystone Lake (Indiana County) — The Atwood Launch boat dock is now in place for the season. Anglers reported releases of bass and a few muskies. Ryerson Station State Park Lake (Greene County) — Numbers

Loleta Park (Elk County) — Although the forest service road paralleling the park has been closed, the water above the park will continue to be stocked with trout, according to the Fish & Boat Commission.

Juniata River (Perry County) —Anglers and boaters are advised that the Howe Township access area was scheduled to be closed beginning May 2 so improvements could be made to the site. Reopening is tentatively scheduled

Lehigh River, Lehigh Canal (Carbon County) — Trout were hitting in recent weeks from Lehighton downriver to Bowmanstown. Some nice-size crappies were reported in the canal near Weissport and lock 7 in recent weeks. Beltzville
