A wet, stormy weekend made things challenging.

The summer grind continues, but we might be seeing some patterns and consistency develop, and on multiple lakes. And the best ways we’re catching ‘em lately …

Great Lakes anglers report mixed results and mixed bags. Most were catching a combination of Chinook, coho, Atlantics, steelhead, browns and lakers.

From the shores of Lake Michigan, catfish are biting on cut bait and stink bait in the evenings.

The walleye bite on Devils Lake is hot – lots of fish in that 15- to 18-inch range. Pulling bottom bouncers with spinners will help put fish in the boat.

Walleye fishing on Lake Superior: A great week for big fish. Here’s just how big, and what they’re catching them on.

The midsummer panfish bite has arrived.

Anglers are doing well in the Western Basin for this “Lake Erie Gold” species.

Water temperatures at or above 80 degrees across the state, with a slow to fair bite being reported for most species.
