Finally, people have been hitting the ice and having some success, especially in the northeastern part of the state. The snow and the warmer temperatures have slowed the ice fishing in the extreme southeastern part

Crappies and bluegills seem to be biting more consistently than walleyes in areas people have been fishing to the north.
