Mother Nature has not been our friend lately, and it doesn’t look like it will get better any time soon. Fish are still being caught for those willing to brave the elements.

First open-water outing of 2022, and the fishing was great for the first time out. We were lucky to be able to catch walleye this time of year, and here’s how we did it.

Walleyes are hitting in Lake Erie, the Detroit River, Lake St. Clair, the St. Clair River, and Saginaw Bay.

Crappies are biting as trout season is unfolding.

River walleye runs continue to go strong.

Colder water temps on most waterways. How’s that impacting the bite?

The main story this week is the bite on the Missouri River.

If you want to keep fishing through the ice, you’re going to have head north.
